Abstract

Today higher education has the essential mission of the training of professionals highly qualified who can act as responsible, competent citizens compromised with social development. This paper offers the rationale for the formation of values in university students, starting from the insufficiencies that professionals-to-be show in their pre-professional practice which proves there is a breach between aspirations and reality.
